  I received a quote from an appliance repair co. for $298 and some change to fix my GE dryer. (I could buy a new one!) Went to see about picking up the part ($83+) but the guy behind the counter at Appliance Parts Co. convinced me to just buy the replacement knob (after all what's the worse that could happen? Maybe be out 10 bucks for the part and still need to buy the $83 part?) Took the knob home put in on the dryer and VOILA! the dryer works!! They also have GE refrigerator filters, about the same price as home depot so I'll be buying my parts from these guys!
